Evergreen is a highly-scalable software (ILS) to help libraries of all sizes and complexity catalog and circulate materials as well as manage a variety of services.

Evergreen is open source software, licensed under the GNU GPL, version 2 or later.

The Evergreen Project was initiated by the Georgia Public Library System in 2006 to serve their need for a scalable catalog shared by more than 300 public libraries in the state of Georgia. Since it was released as an open source project, it has been adopted by many libraries and library consortia and is in use at over 2,000 locations.

A dedicated and active support and development community has grown up around the Evergreen ILS to promote its evolution as a responsive tool for libraries.  There are several ways you can get involved with the community and find out more about Evergreen ILS.  Here are just a few.
